4 – Bagnolo – Verghere, Passo Spina and return

Description : the route leaves Bagnolo and winds along the ridge of the Verghere following trail 280 ex 8 to the right of Val di Sur (on the Val Poiana side). First you will reach the Pirello and then the G. Pirlo shelter. You continue descending along the crest of the Val di Sur, trail 201 ex 1, until you reach Colomber, passing then by Nizzola and finally arriving at Bagnolo. Environmental description: various types of mid-mountain environment: meadows, humid woods, dry woods, traces of anthropization from coal processing. Equipment: water, energy bars, lightweight pack with waterproof poncho, flashlight, trail map. Rifugio Pirlo (mountain shelter) is open for overnight accomodation on weekends and also on weekdays from June to September. In winter wear warm clothing and take a change of clothes.
